RACE FOR LIFE at FOOD CITY FAMILY RACE NIGHT
RACE FOR LIFE was a HUGE success in 2003!! MRDS was able to reach more than 20,000 NASCAR fans with donation information over a three-day period in March. MRDS had a booth at Food City Family Race Night. The event typically draws about 30,000 NASCAR fans and 40 NASCAR drivers that are in the area for the spring race at Bristol Motor Speedway. MRDS was able to distribute 5,000 Donate Life bike bottles and brochures to those attending Race Night. The brochures included information about NASCAR drivers Davey Allison and John Nemechek who were both donors at the time of their deaths. Fans were both surprised and inspired when they learned of the willingness of these racing legends to help others. Join MRDS staff and volunteers in the RACE FOR LIFE at Food City Family Race Night at State Street in Bristol. Race Night is scheduled for Thursday, August 21, 2003 from 1 - 9 pm.
