Golden State Donor Services (GSDS) became a member of DCIDS in November 1985. GSDS provides organ recovery services to thirty hospitals in eleven counties in Northern California. The GSDS population served is approximately 2.4 million residents.

GSDS serves three transplant centers: Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, Sutter Memorial and the University of California at Davis.
