A major benefit to our locations is a consolidated financial department which provides comprehensive management of those resources on a daily basis and provides monthly reports to each location and subdivision of a location for review and informational purposes. DCIDS provides a comprehensive suite of financial management tools for its various locations. These include payroll services, AR/AP, and balance and income sheets. The DCIDS comptroller and staff have over fifty years combined experience in organ and tissue related financial analysis and recording including annual Center for Medicare/Medicaid Studies (CMS) cost report filings. The DCIDS financials are audited a minimum of three times per year with an internal, external (Deloitte Touche) and Medicare audit. DCIDS routinely analyses personnel, organ and hospital costs as we continually strive to hold the line on costs. The new software will enable us to forecast and develop scenarios to further enhance our ability to make sound business decisions. Each location of DCIDS participates fully in a budgeting process annually, and these budgets are consulted throughout the fiscal year. In the face of a continually changing business environment, it is crucial that the DCIDS management team have at its disposal the tools with which to meet challenges. |
