Johnson-Tomanka Named Executive Director of Golden State Donor Services / Sierra Eye & Tissue Donor Services

SACRAMENTO, CA --  Monica Johnson-Tomanka has been appointed as Executive Director of Golden State Donor Services/Sierra Eye and Tissue Donor Services (GSDS/  SETDS) in Sacramento, by the Dialysis Clinic Inc Donor Services (DCIDS) Board of Directors.

Ms. Johnson-Tomanka has more than twenty years experience in the organ donation field.  She joins GSDS/SETDS (the organ and tissue donor recovery agency for the greater Sacramento area) from LifeCenter Northwest, in Bellevue, Washington, where she served as Vice President of Operations.  Prior to that, Johnson-Tomanka served in ever-increasing roles at Portland’s Pacific Northwest Transplant Bank, most recently, as Director of Operations.   She led both LifeCenter and the Pacific Transplant Bank to record performance successes in organ and tissue donation.

Johnson-Tomanka is an active member of the Association of Organ Procurement
Organization (AOPO), where she currently serves on the Standards and Accreditation Committee as an Accreditation Site Surveyor. She is also the recipient of the Cryolife Achievement Award for her many contributions to that organization.   

Johnson-Tomanka has held numerous leadership roles with the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), as well, including:   Governing Board Member, Associate Regional Councilor and currently serves as Region VI Councilor.  On a more local level, she now serves as a Governing Board Member of Life Alaska Donor Services.  

Johnson-Tomanka is a Registered Nurse (RN).  She earned her Masters of Science in Management degree from Antioch University in Seattle, and a Bachelors of Science degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Linfield College in Oregon.   Both DCI Donor Services and GSDS/SETDS will benefit greatly from her leadership, expertise, and relentless passion to increase donation and transplantation.

Golden State Donor Services and Sierra Eye and Tissue Donor Services are Dialysis Clinic Inc. Donor Services (DCIDS) subsidiaries.
